Privacy Policy

Effective: August 19, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 19, 2026

What this policy covers

This single policy covers two different things, and they are treated very differently. Part A explains the small amount of information we handle when you use our website at redpiston.com. Part B explains our mobile apps and games — which collect no personal information at all.

If you are here because of one of our apps, Part B is the section that applies to you.

1Who we are

Red Piston Inc. ("Red Piston," "we," "us," "our") is a digital product studio incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We build websites, mobile applications, and games.

Red Piston Inc. is the entity responsible for the information described in this policy — the data controller, in the language of the GDPR. Our full contact details are in section 16.

2Scope

This policy applies to:

It does not apply to client projects that Red Piston builds and operates on behalf of another company. Those products are governed by the privacy policy of the client that owns them.

Part A — Our website (redpiston.com)

3Information you give us through the website

The only way we collect personal information through our website is when you choose to send it to us using our contact or quote request form.

What we collectWhy
Your nameSo we know who we are replying to
Your email address, and phone number if you provide oneSo we can respond to your enquiry
Your company name, if you provide oneTo understand the context of your enquiry
The content of your messageTo understand and answer what you are asking

All of these fields are voluntary in the sense that you are never required to contact us. If you would rather not use the form, you can email or phone us directly using the details in section 16.

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to one, to carry out the resulting business relationship. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit request, and we do not sell, rent, lease, or share your details with third parties.

Our legal basis for handling this information under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and where applicable, taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

4Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our web host automatically records standard technical information when a page is requested — typically the IP address making the request, the browser and operating system reported, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure, not by any tracking software we have added, and they exist so that the site can be kept secure, available, and debuggable.

We do not use these logs to build profiles, to identify individual visitors, or for any marketing or advertising purpose.

5Cookies and tracking

Our website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or remarketing tags. We do not run Google Analytics or any comparable analytics product, we do not operate advertising or retargeting tags, and we do not embed social media tracking widgets.

Any cookie the site does set is strictly necessary — for example, a session or security token needed for a page or form to function correctly. Strictly necessary cookies of this kind do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive, and they are not used to track you across other websites.

6How long we keep website information

We keep contact form correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to maintain a record of our business dealings, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you have become a client — in which case we retain records for the period required by Canadian tax and corporate record-keeping law.

Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, and are then overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.

You may ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by emailing us, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Part B — Our apps and games

7Our apps collect no personal information

This part applies to the mobile applications and games published by Red Piston Inc., including Adventures of the Honeycomb Heroes.

Our games collect nothing. They do not request, gather, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information or device information whatsoever.

Specifically, our games do not collect:

Our games contain no third‑party software development kits (SDKs), no analytics libraries, no advertising libraries, no social media integrations, and no tracking pixels or beacons. They do not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, or location.

Because we collect no information, there is no player database — and nothing about you for us to lose, leak, sell, or disclose to anyone.

8No advertising, no purchases

Our games are free and contain no advertisements of any kind — no banners, interstitials, rewarded video, or offer walls — and therefore no advertising networks and no ad‑based profiling. They contain no in‑app purchases, no virtual currency, no loot boxes, and no subscriptions.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any information with data brokers or advertisers, under any definition of "sell" or "share," including those in the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.

9Data stored on your device

Anything a game needs in order to work — such as your progress or your sound and settings preferences — is written only to local storage on your own device. It never leaves your device, is never transmitted to Red Piston or anyone else, and is not readable by us. Deleting the app removes this local data completely.

10App stores and platform providers

Our games are distributed through app stores operated by Apple Inc. and Google LLC. Those companies operate independently of Red Piston and are governed by their own privacy policies, not by this one.

When you download, install, update, or review an app, the store platform may process information such as your account details, download history, device model and operating system version, and aggregate crash or performance statistics. This happens between you and the platform. We do not control it and we receive no personal information from it — at most, anonymous aggregate counts such as total downloads, which cannot identify any individual.

See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy for details.

Part C — Applies to everything above

11Children's privacy

Our website is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed specifically at children under 13.

Our games collect no personal information from anyone, at any age, and contain no advertising, no in‑app purchases, no chat or messaging, no user‑generated content, and no external links during gameplay. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or under 16 where a higher age applies under the GDPR or comparable law — through our games or our website.

We believe this design meets the requirements of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent protections elsewhere. Parents and guardians with any question or concern are welcome to contact us at the address in section 16, and we will respond promptly.

12Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Quebec's Law 25. These generally include the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

For our apps and games: we hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, restrict, or delete, and no profiling or automated decision‑making takes place. You are welcome to contact us to confirm this in writing.

For our website: if you have contacted us through the form, you may ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address in section 16 and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this.

If you have a concern we have not resolved, residents of the EU or UK may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority, and residents of Canada may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

13Security

The strongest privacy protection is not collecting information in the first place, and that is the approach our games take. For the limited website information described in Part A, we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it to answer your enquiry.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us sensitive personal information through the website contact form.

14International transfers

Red Piston Inc. operates from Canada. Because our games collect and transmit no personal information, playing them involves no international transfer of your personal information. Website enquiries are handled in Canada and may be processed by our hosting and email providers, who may store data in Canada or the United States under contractual safeguards.

15Links to other sites and changes to this policy

Our website and store listings may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we launch a new product or if the law changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new version here. If we ever make a material change — in particular, if a future version of any app begins collecting information — we will make that clear in the updated policy and in the relevant app store release notes before the change takes effect. Changes are effective when posted.
